IR cut filter
A dielectric multilayer film filter that cuts infrared (IR) light and transmits visible (VIS) light.
This is a dielectric multilayer film filter that cuts infrared (IR) light and transmits cold light (visible light). It is frequently used in applications where it is necessary to avoid the effects of heat—such as in black-and-white cameras—by inserting it in front of the imaging sensor to prevent thermal light from entering the sensor. The substrate surface is coated with a dielectric multilayer film that functions as an IR cut, designed for an incident angle of 0° (collimated light). Borofloat glass, which has excellent heat resistance, is used for the substrate. Additionally, an anti-reflective coating is applied to the backside to prevent ghost image generation. ■ Cut-off wavelength of 710nm ■ Options for circular and rectangular shapes ■ Available in various sizes *The catalog from Edmund Optics Japan can be downloaded from the link below.
